The event was held at Cannon Quality Group office in Silicon Valley. Attendees benefited experience from both the supplier and developer sides on keys to successful collaboration between startups and manufacturers.

NSW-UCSF Rosenman/QB3 Award

Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research, the Hon. Brad Hazzard, announced the inaugural winners of two prestigious international commercialization scholarships; Dr Maryam Parviz and Dr Iman Manavitehrani (SDIP`s founders). This award enables SDIP`s founders to spend two years in San Francisco at QB3, a life science innovation and entrepreneurship accelerator, the University of California’s hub. The scholarship will also cover product development costs and will give the founders access to mentoring and networking opportunities.

Australian Medtech mission in Singapore

Dr Maryam Parviz and Dr Iman Manavitehrani were among the 19 delegates from Australia that attended this event. Dr Parviz and Dr Manavitehrani represented  SDIP Innovations. The attendants explored collaboration and partnership opportunities between Australian start-ups and Universities with ASENA partners; the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, Hon Karen Andrews MP, and the Singapore Minister for Finance, Heng Swee Keat.
